Dan King really delivers the musical goods. Many consider Dan the finest of a young pack
of crooners bringing back the sounds of a time when the bands were big, the music was swinging, and the Sands was the coolest spot
in the universe.
Dan knew he wanted to be a singer from the time he was a young boy dreaming of following in the footsteps of legendary entertainers like Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin, Dean Martin and Elvis Presley, who he listened to on his family’s stereo and watched on TV.
Dan began performing in talent shows and contests at an early age, but mysteriously lost his singing voice around the age of twenty. Years later Dan learned he had a thyroid condition, and with the regimen of a daily hormone tablet his voice returned.
Since then Dan has performed to rave reviews at many of Houston’s top nightspots and beyond, including The Post Oak Grill, The Sands on Westheimer, Fitzpatrick’s On The Strand, The Fabulous Satellite Lounge and Galveston’s Grand 1894 Opera House . . . wowing audiences as far afield as Las Vegas, New York and Atlanta to equal applause.
Dan is currently recording and in post production on several albums due for release
in Spring 2009 . . . his signature album,
"THIS IS DAN KING", a live CD recorded at swinging "Club Paul", and a '60's rock album, simple entitled "1960's". Look for them soon
